Administration Philosophy

At Lake Oswego Middle School, our administration fosters strong relationships and a culture of belonging while emphasizing collaboration and high-impact instructional practices. We prioritize creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every student feels valued and engaged.

Our approach centers on building meaningful connections among students, staff, and families. We work closely with teacher leaders, including grade level and curriculum leaders, through bi-monthly leadership meetings and weekly team and PLC meetings. This collaborative governance model ensures that diverse perspectives contribute to our decision-making processes, enhancing our instructional practices and school culture.

Our commitment to a collaborative approach means we continuously strive to improve through high-leverage instructional practices and flexible academic structures, such as trimester schedules and various elective options. We also emphasize a strong "no cut" after-school sports program to ensure every student has the opportunity to participate and feel a sense of belonging.

By integrating diverse viewpoints and fostering a culture of respect and inclusion, we can make better decisions that positively impact our student's educational experiences and overall school community.
