Naviance
Naviance is a web-based platform that helps students and families prepare for college and careers. Beginning in 6th grade, LOSD students will begin utilizing Naviance as part of our social/emotional learning and college/career readiness curriculum. Through monthly lessons delivered in advisory classrooms, students will engage in Naviance lessons covering:
- Self-discovery: Students can take assessments to help them learn more about themselves
- Goal-setting: Students can set goals for their future
- Career exploration: Students can learn about different careers and their realities
- College research: Students can search for colleges and universities that match their career goals
- Financial Planning: Students can explore income, expenses and financial aid
Students keep their Naviance account and continue using this platform throughout high school. At the high school level, students will use Naviance to manage all post high school application activity and will keep a personalized student portfolio.
